All sites to not receive UseNet news. I don't think, for example, it's particularly easy if a site is on Bitnet only. 2. Some users, especially university undergraduates, face severe retrictions on the amount of disk storage they may occupy. If the discussion becomes particularly active and the user's mailbox grows large, the total disk usage may exceed quota and the user will be denied access to the account. One way to accommodate the largest group of people is to create a news group that is "gatewayed" to an Internet mailing list. Items posted >from either side would automatically go to both. A number of mail lists, including info-apple@apple.com (comp.sys.apple2) and risks@csl.sri.com (comp.risks) work this way. One is moderated and one is not. The simplest way, since most of you probably met one another on sci.med, is just to continue your discussions on sci.med and ignore the flames. (Thin skin isn't part of the medical problem, is it?) This has the advangtage of exposing your discussion to a much larger audience and getting excellent input from a few, very knowledgable people from time to time as well as attracting new voices from interested folks or folks with similar problems. _Brint
