It doesn't strike me as very significant medically, so I haven't done anything about it. While I was picking up a prescription, I saw a display of "Hard as Nails" products, various brush-on solutions supposed to strengthen nails so they won't split. Some included silk protein, some included calcium, and so forth. I was tempted to buy one to try, until I read the label. Would you believe they all have toluene as the first or second ingredient??! Good grief, Charlie Brown. So does anyone have any ideas (1) about strengthening nails, or (2) about a non-toxic brush-on nail strengthener? Oh, yes - I take a hefty multi (Twinlabs Multi-6 Caps or Allergy Multi Caps) so I think I'm getting all my vitamins and minerals. I'm getting more than enough protein in my diet. I don't work with solvents. Andrea Frankel, Hewlett Packard, San Diego Technical Graphics Div., R&D Lab "wake now!
